A New School Year

OK, so it's officially crack down time this school year. We are all stressed with deadlines and homework, but we must persevere and continue on the long process of creating a book. More updates to come, that is, if I have time to blog lol :)

HALLELUJAH

The books have been distributed! The year is over!! I can't believe we've made it this far. I'm so proud of everyone for all their hard work. It's such a blessing to have a staff as talented as this year's was.

Reminder: Money for the workshop this summer is due before June 1st. $190.00 for rising sophomores and juniors and $40.00 for rising seniors. Don't Forget!! I'm soooo excited!

YEARBOOKS!!!

The yearbooks have arrived! Today when we were organizing them, it hit me that this year is almost over. Hopefully, next year the books will look as good as they do this year! Good job you guys...I mean ladies...and Evan. haha.

Oh, and DON'T forget to wear you're yearbook T-Shirts on Tuesday aka Cinco de Mayo. We will all want to match so we will be able to find each other when there is craziness about. lol.

Plant Trip!!

Ok, so the plant trip is approaching really soon (10 days)!!! Make sure to turn in your permission slip to Mrs. Cline as soon as we get back to school (because I know that you don't want to miss this trip!). 

Normally, it takes about an hour and a half to get to the plant. If we want music, we should supply it with our iPods. If you would like to bring a converter so that we can hear your iPod over the speakers in the bus, you should do so. 

Bring some money with you so that you can pay for your meal at the Macaroni Grill. For the past two years Alison Klopp has kindly offered to pay on behalf of Jostens. We never know what will happen so bring money! :)

Also, PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO WEAR YOUR T-SHIRTS ON APRIL 15TH!! One of the reasons we bought T-Shirts was so that we could wear them on the Plant Trip and another reason was for Yearbook Distribution. Don't lose your shirts!! :D

First Post

The 2009 Talon is complete (except for the supplement)!! Congratulations to the entire staff: Hannah, Kaitlyn, Camie, Katie, Ashton, Kayla, Melanie, Stephanie, Carey, Keri, Evan, Mrs. Cline, and myself!!! I am so proud of everyone. The book looks fantastic. I cannot wait until we finally can hold it in our hands! This year has been tough, but we came together and got through it. I am proud to say that I was on this year's staff.

On to the supplement. I will have a later post with everyone's assignments. Even though the year is ending, we still have to put out a great supplement to add to the yearbook. Hopefully, we'll get it done stress free and then we will finally be finished with the book!

So now for the plant trip (yay!). We're a month away! I have been waiting all year for this. :) We have discussed going somewhere other than Olive Garden. I researched and found these restaurants: Olive Garden, T.G.I. Friday's, O'Charley's, Texas Roadhouse, and Ruby Tuesday.

I can't wait because I know we will have tons of fun!
